President of Tatarstan visits modernized Eastern water intake station in Zelenodolsk

President of the Republic of Tatarstan has visited the reconstructed Eastern water intake station in Zelenodolsk where modern methods of drinking water purification were implemented.
According to Director general of JSC “Vodokanalservis” Almaz Garaev before launching new equipment water had not corresponded the standards in the region. Its iron content many times exceeded needed parameters.
The enterprise “Zelenodolsk-Vodokanal”, the branch of JSC “Vodokanalservis” is engaged in water supply and water disposal in Zelenodolsk, Vasilievo urban-type settlement and Aisha village providing drinking water for 118 thousand Tatarstaners, 564 enterprises and organizations. 320 people are working at the enterprise.
Reconstruction of the object started in 2010. 42,9 mln roubles were allocated for implementation of first stage of works. Due to these funds the building of the station was constructed, deironing equipment was purchased and installed, standby water passage was laid and four wells were drilled.
To fulfill the second stage of works 45 mln roubles were provided by the republican budget. Thus, last year the station was launched.
However, a difficult situation is now observed in the sphere of water supply and water disposal in Zelenodolsk since the networks are in a deteriorated condition.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
