Rustam Minnikhanov visits Kazan religious seminary

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has visited Kazan religious seminary (Chelyuskin street). Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy met the President by the entrance. He showed classes, workshops, library funds, told about the learning process.
Rustam Minnikhanov visited the icon workshop where senior students learn such subjects as restoration craft and the basics of icon painting. Teachers are specialists from the museum of fine arts, professional restores.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov and Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy went to see the class of the ecclesiastical art. RT President was told that the Kazan school of painting and icon painting has always been strong and well-known in the country.
Rustam Minnikhanov also visited classes of Kazan religious seminary including computer class, class of liturgical singing, library, reading hall, book depository. RT President noted that it is important to ensure safety of literature and think about converting it into electronic format, creating electronic database.
Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov and his party visited the Church of St. John of Kronstadt. The church was built in 1992 at the expense of Kazan eparchy. The consecration of a church was held in 1996.
Chief of RT President’s Staff Yury Kamaltynov, Head of RT Presidential department on interaction with religious associations Marat Gatin, and Chief of Kazan executive committee Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the event.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
