Ildar Khalikov opens All-Russia competitions on belt-wrestling

VIII open All-Russia tournament on belt-wrestling for the prizes of RF honored coaches A.Shaikhutdinov and M.Sakhabutdinov has started in Vysogorosky region (the Republic of Tatarstan). RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov attended a solemn ceremony.
Sportsmen from 11 RF regions and 17 regions of Tatarstan take part in traditional competitions held in sports complex “Biektau”. Wrestlers from Bashkortostan, Vladimir, Mary - El, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Chuvashia will compete at the event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony Ildar Khalikov welcomed all participants and guests of competitions. “Year by year more sportsmen come here to take part in competitions which are very important for us. This sport preserves national culture and Tatar people,” Head of Tatarstan Government said.
Ildar Khalikov reminded that various kinds of sport are developing in republic, but special attention is paid to belt-wrestling. “No wonder than more than 30 thousand people in republic exercise such a bright, beautiful and manly sport,” the PM stated.
He wished all sportsmen do their best and a striking performance for the audience. Ildar Khalikov also granted several awards for efficient work on development of belt-wrestling in Tatarstan.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
