Rustam Minnikhanov: It is important to ensure interaction between science and industry, higher educational institutions and enterprises

I am sure that many directors of large industrial enterprises do not know about modern research of our institutional laboratories, President of the Republic of Tatarstan stated at a meeting with the teaching staff and students of the Kazan (Volga) federal university.
Before the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov had visited several laboratories and scientific sites of the university and was really impressed by what he had seen. RT President expressed positive opinion regarding modern facilities and equipment of laboratories, research workers and post-graduate students working there.
RT President said he is sure that republican scientific school and higher educational institutions should take leading positions. By his words, it is important today to assess world’s educational market, invite specialists and prepare modern teaching staff.
“It is not a secret that during the last few years our higher educational institutions have been left alone, and were trying to survive. However, federal government has paid attention to scientific sphere and higher educational institutions. Thus, Tatarstan has obtained federal university (Kazan federal university), two national research universities are functioning on the territory of republic. Earlier visits to laboratories and scientific centers could arouse feelings of disappointment, but things have changed now. Today we have visited the institute of physics with 26 functioning laboratories. Our great prospects are also connected with developments of the Institute of geology and oil-gas technologies (Kazan federal university),” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that it is essential to ensure interaction between science and industry higher educational institutions and enterprises.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
