Three agreements with partners of Universiade-2013 signed in Kazan

Agreements of intent with partners of Universiade-2013 - Coca-Cola, Hyundai Motor CIS, McDonalds have been signed today in the context of a session of the Steering committee of World student games in the presence of first Vice-premier of Russia Igor Shuvalov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The agreement was signed by Vladimir Leonov (Director of ANO "Executive directorate of Universiade-2013”), Stuart Cross (Director for development of sports strategy, Coca-Cola company), Byung Kwon Lim (Director general of Hyundai Motor CIS), Viktor Eidemiller (Vice-president for development and construction, McDonalds).
Preparation for Universiade is underway, First Vice-premier of Russia Igor Shuvalov noted at the round-table discussion with partners. “The most complicated problems connected with modernization of transport infrastructure and some organizational issues are to be solved yet,” Igor Shuvalov said noting also that many issues will be discussed at today’s session of the steering committee.
First Vice-premier of Russia invited partners of Universiade-2013 to discuss issues of interaction with the Government of Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov expressed hope that a joint work with partners would be rather efficient. The President addressed Igor Shuvalov with words of special gratitude. “We understand that our republic and the city bear huge responsibility, and we will do our best to fulfill the conditions of partnership agreements,” Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
