Rustam Minnikhanov: Puppet theatre is a gift for our children

New building of the Puppet theatre has today opened in Kazan.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev.
By the way, construction of new building started in October, 2008. According to RT Minister of construction, architecture and housing Irek Faizullin the project’s cost made 1,3 bln roubles. Funding was provided by the Tatarstan budget.
The building which looks like a fairy castle contains two halls for 258 and 100 places, children’s cafés and play grounds, and children’s center “Ekiyat”. The Kazan minor academy of arts and art school will soon move here as well.
Speaking to first spectators President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov called opening of the theatre a big event.
RT President believes that it is of great importance to create conditions for development of our children, and new theatre is just the very place.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that construction of new Puppet theatre was initiated by first RT President Mintimer Shaimiev.
Accompanied by other honorable guests President of Tatarstan looked over the new theatre and joined young spectators in the audience hall.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
