Boris Gromov: Tatarstan is one of the biggest trade-economic and investment partners of Moscow oblast

The Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and social-cultural cooperation between Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Government of Moscow oblast has been signed today in Krasnogorsk city (the building of Government of Moscow oblast).

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Moscow oblast Boris Gromov put their signatures on the document.

During the signing ceremony both parties expressed hope for further efficient cooperation. In particular, Boris Gromov said that Tatarstan today is one of the biggest trade-economic and investment partners of Moscow oblast among other Russian regions. The volume of goods and services delivered to Moscow oblast from Tatarstan is steadily growing. Thus, according to results of 2011 mutual trade turnover of Moscow oblast and Tatarstan made 30 bln roubles.

According to Boris Gromov high results have been achieved in construction, agriculture, social protection and education spheres.

The potential of Moscow oblast and Tatarstan should be further effectively used, Boris Gromov said. He believes that good prospects are faced by energy-efficient technologies, construction sector, creation of logistics complexes, and adoption of innovative technologies in various spheres.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Government of Moscow oblast had been signed before in 1999.

Rustam Minnikhanov marked that contacts in the sphere of sport, culture and education are also important.

President of Tatarstan invited the governor of Moscow oblast to visit the capital of Tatarstan – Kazan and thanked leadership of Moscow oblast for favourable environment created in the region for development of all nationalities.
