New shopping center «Metro Cash&Carry» has opened today in Kazan. Premier of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in opening of the second German shopping center in the republican capital.
New shopping center is located on Tikhoretskaya Street, 4. Total area of the complex is 12000 m².
A parking for 430 cars is available close to the shopping center. More than 25 thousand items of food and non-food products are presented in the shop. Investments in construction of the second trade center «Metro Cash&Carry» made more than 20 bln Euro.
Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov congratulated Director general of Russian branch of «Metro Cash&Carry» Peter Boon on his assignment to this post.
The PM thanked «Metro Cash&Carry» for quick realization of the project. The shopping center has been built within a year since the decision was made. Ildar Khalikov wished a new shopping center to meet all expectations of the company and Kazan residents.
Peter Boon thanked Tatarstan and Kazan leadership for assistance in the project realization. He believes that new shopping center will favour development of small and medium-size business in the capital.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
