Tatarstan President visits “Arakchinsky gypsum” plant

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has visited OOO “Arakchinsky gypsum”. Head of republic looked over the enterprise and launched new production line.
The gypsum production plant was built in 1947. It has been considerably modernized during the last few years. Notably, a workshop for producing plasterboard has been launched.
89 thousand tons of alabaster gypsum and 5 mln m² of plasterboard were produced at the plant in 2011. Proceeds of the enterprise made 406 mln roubles. Expansion of production is expected at the plant.
250 people currently work at the plant, the average salary is 20,6 thousand roubles.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has looked over production premises of the enterprise and marked high quality of products.
RT President pressed a symbolic red button launching new line for producing alabaster gypsum with a capacity of 60 thousand tons per year.
The up-to-date equipment will help increasing output volume and quality of products.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked executives of the enterprise to focus on improvement of production standards and working conditions of the personnel.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
