Problems of Tatarstan enterprises of defence industry complex discussed in Kazan

Acting RF Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov has held a meeting with chiefs of Tatarstan enterprises of defence industry complex in Kazan. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a meeting held at JSC Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Works.
Before the meeting Denis Manturov and Rustam Minnikhanov visited one of the workshops and saw aircrafts and machinery under modernization and planned maintenance.
Necessary modernization of production for organizing overhaul of strategic bombers Tu-22M3 is one of main problems now faced by the enterprise. Though funding for modernization is provided by the Federal Targeted Program on developing defence industry complex, it will not be received in a short time.
Denis Manturov informed about expected adoption of essential legislative acts which imply subsidizing of interest rate on loans taken by enterprises for realization of measures within Federal Targeted Program. Thus, Kazan Aviation Works can take a loan and cover it later by funds received in the context of Federal Targeted Program.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov marked that the federal government pays much attention to Tatarstan enterprises of defence industry complex. In 2011 volume of output of Tatarstan enterprises made more than 52 bln roubles, including 26 bln roubles by state order.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, defence state order is a very serious issue for certain enterprises. Head of Tatarstan also focused on the problem of preparing qualified personnel for enterprises of defence industry complex.
Denis Manturov marked that regular meetings with chiefs of Tatarstan enterprises had been implemented in practice.
Today acting Head of RF ministry of industry and trade offered attendees of the meeting to specify problems and consider possible solutions.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
