Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrives in Luxemburg

A working trip of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg started on April 9, 2012.
Head of republic was met by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Luxemburg Alexandr Shulygin and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Luxemburg in Russia Pierre Ferring in international airport “Findel”.
On April 10 Rustam Minnikhanov is to attend several business meetings within the confines of a short-term working trip in Luxembourg.
In particular, the Tatarstan President will meet with the Prime Minister of Luxemburg Jean-Claude Juncker and Minister of economy and foreign trade Etienne Schneider.
Moreover, RT President is expected to visit the Center for telecommunication management of the biggest satellite company in Europe SES Astra and Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce.
The Tatarstan-Luxemburg round table and presentation of economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan and Luxemburg economy will be held in the Chamber of Commerce.
The Tatarstan delegation is comprised of vice RT Prime Minister – minister of informatization and communications Nikolai Nikiforov, Director of the Department for external relations – Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Chief of the RT Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Board chairman of OAO Ak Bars Bank Robert Minnegaliev, first vice Minister of industry and trade Igor Nosov.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
