Prime Minister of Luxemburg Jean-Claude Junker and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed issues of further cooperation between Luxemburg and Tatarstan within the confines of developing Russian-Luxemburg relations.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Luxemburg Alexandr Shulygin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Luxemburg in Russia Pierre Ferring, Director of the Department for external relations – Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov took part in the meeting.
According to Iskander Muflikhanov, Prime Minister of Luxemburg Jean-Claude Junker positively assessed economic and investment potential of Tatarstan as one of industrially developed subjects of the federation. He marked that Tatarstan and Luxemburg have much in common and it is important to find spheres of mutually beneficial cooperation today.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested organizing a visit of Luxemburg business delegation to Tatarstan to study economic opportunities of the region in terms of organizing and running business.
Jean-Claude Junker confirmed that Luxemburg businessmen have intentions to visit Tatarstan within the limits of planned visit to Russia in November 2012.
