Ildar Khalikov and Mohammad Reza Morshedzade discuss further interaction of Tatarstan with Islamic Republic of Iran

Head of the Department on regional issues of Ministry of foreign affairs of Iran Mohammad Reza Morshedzade and RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov have discussed issues of further interaction of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tatarstan as one of Russian regions.
The meeting was held in the RT Government House with participation of Director of the Department for external relations – Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, acting RT Minister of industry and trade Rashat Fattakhov, acting RT Minister of culture Irada Ayupova, Chief of the RT Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, representative of RF Ministry of foreign affairs in Radik Vakhitov.
Ildar Khalikov welcomed guests on behalf of the republican leadership. This visit of Iran officials to Kazan is the evidence of our friendly relations, which have been successfully developing especially within the last ten years. He believes that opening of consulate-general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan in 2007 favored consolidation of these relations.
The trip of the Tatarstan delegation led by the President Rustam Minnikhanov to Iran in December 2011 also played a certain role.
Head of RT Government marked that today cooperation between Iran and Tatarstan is implemented in the sphere of culture and humanities. There are more students learning Farsi in republic. The Islamic Republic of Iran renders support in providing study materials and equipment for several scientific institutions of RT. Annually Iranian filmmakers take part in the festival of Islamic cinema in Tatarstan. The week of Iran successfully passed in republic in 2011.
Ildar Khalikov thanked Iranian leadership for the idea to publish works of the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai in Farsi. The PM is sure that the visit to Kazan will be the next step in consolidating cooperation.
Head of the Department on regional issues of Ministry of foreign affairs of Iran Mohammad Reza Morshedzade thanked Ildar Khalikov for the meeting and opportunity to discuss several issues. He also informed about social, economic and political situation in the country.
Speaking about the trip of the Tatarstan delegation to Iran in December 2011, Mohammad Reza Morshedzade stated that all arrangements would be fulfilled.
Mohammad Reza Morshedzade suggested organizing a week of the Tatarstan culture in Iran and invited Tatarstan PM to visit the country.
As for development of trade-economic relations, Mohammad Reza Morshedzade informed that some Iranian provinces are ready to cooperate with Tatarstan enterprises.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
