Rustam Minnikhanov and Arkady Dvorkovich meet with participants of All-Russia contest “Junior Eight in Russia-2012”

The Aide to the Russian President Arkady Dvorkovich and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with participants of All-Russia contest “Junior Eight in Russia-2012”.
To the point, annual contest-selection among senior pupils “Junior Eight in Russia” has been held since 2006. It is organized by the RF Ministry of education and science under the auspice of the expert group of St. Petersburg state university and youth movement “Junior Eight”.
This year the second stage of All-Russia contest “Junior Eight in Russia” is held in Kazan on April 16-22. Solemn opening of the contest was held in the Kazan City Hall on April 17.
The Aide to the Russian President Arkady Dvorkovich welcomed the participants of “Junior Eight” saying that it gives a good chance for young people to join the discussion of those urgent problems Russian citizens worry about. “Many of those who had passed the contest now study at higher educational institutions, devote themselves to good deeds. First of all, these are projects in the sphere of education, ecology, and charity,” he said. He is sure that all participants will acquire necessary skills, and achieve success in life.
Many competitors will work as volunteers at different international events, summits, summer Universiade-2013 in Kazan and Winter Olympiad in Sochi in 2014, Arkady Dvorkovich marked.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is nice to host such distinguished guests in the capital of republic.
The closing ceremony of the contest “Junior Eight in Russia-2012” will be held on April 21 in the hotel entertainment complex Korston.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
