Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of "Wienerberger AG" Board Heimo Scheuch discuss development of the plant of wall materials in Kurkachi

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Chairman of "Wienerberger AG" Board Heimo Scheuch.
The meeting was held in the RT Government House with participation of RT Ministry of construction, architecture and housing Irek Faizullin, Chief of the Agency for state order Yakov Geller and others.
The parties discussed development of the plant of wall materials in Vysokogorsky region and marketing policy of the enterprise.
To the point, three Wienerberger plants are now functioning in Russia, in Vladimir oblast (Kiprevo-1 and Kiprevo-2), and in Tatarstan (Vysokogorsky region, Kurkachi station).
The plant launched in the Republic of Tatarstan at the end of 2008 is one of the largest plants producing ceramic bricks in Russia. Its produce is realized in Tatarstan and other Russian regions.
It is one of the first investment projects, Rustam Minnikhanov marked. He highly appreciated efforts made by "Wienerberger AG" executives on fulfilling their commitments notwithstanding difficult economic situation emerged in the world in 2008-2009.
According to RT President, it is the plant of new generation that meets the latest standards of energy saving, environmental protection and labor protection.
“All of us contributed to realization of this project. I confirm my interest in development and production increase of the plant,” Head of republic said.
“Advent of such modern enterprise is a great advantage for republic. You provide budget revenues and new jobs,” Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
Heimo Scheuch assured Rustam Minnikhanov that the company’s leadership intends to develop cooperation with republic. "Wienerberger AG" is considering further investments in republic including opening of a new enterprise.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.

On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
