Rustam Minnikhanov meets with akim of Aktyubinsk oblast of Kazakhstan

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with akim of Aktyubinsk oblast of the Kazakhstan Republic Archimed Muhambetov. The meeting was held during the visit of the delegation to the Tatarstan capital.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the delegation of Aktyubinsk oblast for vesting Kazan noting that Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of Russian Federation. “Current integration processes consolidate the unity of our states and give impetus to growth. Single economic space enables our countries to play an important role in global economy,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

RT President reminded that Tatarstan representation is functioning in Kazakhstan and work on opening consulate-general of Kazakhstan is being implemented in Kazan. Mutual commodity turnover of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan made 900 mln dollars in 2011. 34 organizations with Kazakhstan investments are registered in RT. KAMAZ, Tatneft and Kazan helicopters have established business relations with Kazakhstan partners. By the way, the Tatarstan company MVEN has opened the plant producing light self-engineered agricultural aircrafts in Kazakhstan.

Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of cultural cooperation of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan. To the point, Kazakh film makers take part in the annual international festival of Muslim cinema in Kazan.

In the interview of Kazan and Aktyubinsk journalists Archimed Muhambetov informed that members of delegation were satisfied with things they had learnt during the visit. “We were especially impressed by the electronic government, state services in electronic format. We hope Tatarstan will share the experience and we will find areas of common interest for cooperation,” akim of Aktyubinsk oblast said.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov called several areas of possible cooperation, in particular construction of transport corridor “Europe-Western China” that will pass through both regions. He also marked that cooperation should be developed in sport and education.
