Rustam Minnikhanov: Tattelecom should promote services more actively

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended a solemn ceremony of launching two new projects of OAO Tattelecom - cellular communication “Fly” and street Wi-Fi Internet access system. The ceremony was held in the company’s central office in Kazan with participation of vice-premier – Communications minister Nikolay Nikiforov and Director general of OAO Tattelecom Lutfulla Shafigullin.
Several advanced projects of Tattelecom were presented to Rustam Minnikhanov before the ceremony. In particular, the system “smart house” which enables to integrate all electronic devices in living quarters in a single network and run it distantly or via PC.
Another project is IPTV – broadcast of TV programs in the Internet. For watching TV channels one will need to purchase a special set-top box which is provided with feedback option enabling access to state services in electronic format.
President of Tatarstan advised the company’s leadership to promote their services more actively.

The cellular communication “Fly” is provided by the company by MVNO scheme, the so-called “virtual operator”. The second project called “Always on-line” implies installment of 150 Wi-Fi access points in Kazan streets.
Addressing participants of the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of advanced telecommunication technologies in the modern world.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
