The farewell ceremony for the Tatarstan people’s writer, famous playwright, prose writer, publicist and public figure Tufan Minnullin took place in Kazan today. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, cultural, art and public figures, hundreds of residents of republic came to G.Kamal theatre to say goodbye to Tufan Minnullin.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers and personally expressed condolences to relatives.
State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev opened the funeral service. First RT President recalled the life and achievements of Tufan Minnullin. According to Mintimer Shaimiev, he did a lot in his creative and public life.
To the point, Tufan Minnullin passed away on May, 2 at the age of 77. He will be buried today at Novo-Tatarskoe cemetery.

Tufan Minnullin was born on August 25, 1935 in the village of Bolshoe Meretkozino in the Tatarstan’s Kamskoe Ustie region.
Tufan Minnullin made a great contribution in development of the Tatar children’s dramaturgy. Series of his fairytale plays “Azat” (“Free”), “Gafiyat turynda ekiyat” (“Tale about Gafiyat”), “Aiga seyahet” (“Journey to the Moon”), “Aibulat”, “Avyl ete Akbai” (“Village dog Akbai”), “Akbai hem Saryk malae” (“Akbai and lamb”) and many others; comedies “Iptesh komandir!” (“Friend commander!”) and “Kaida halyk, kaida doreslek?” (“Where are people, where is justice?”) took an important place in repertoire of republican puppet and drama theatres.
In 1978 Tufan Minnullin was given the honorary title “Honored art worker of the Republic of Tatarstan”, in 1984 - “Honored art worker of the Russian Federation”, in 2005 - “Honored art worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan”. In 1984 he was awarded with the “Honour Badge”. In 2005 he was given the title “People’s writer of the Republic of Tatarstan” and awarded with the “Order of merits for the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Tufan Minnullin headed the RT Union of writers from 1984 till 1989. In 1997-2008 he executed duties of chairman of the Tatar PEN center of the International PEN club. In 1984-1989 Tufan Minnullin was the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the TASSR, in 1989-1991 - the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, from 1990 – the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Tatarstan, from 1995 - the deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
