Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting on developing SEZ Alabuga

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a visiting meeting on developing special economic zone Alabuga. Deputy Director General of OAO Special economic zones Vadim Dubovik attended the meeting.

Before the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Vadim Dubovik launched the second construction stage of SEZ Alabuga. New territory of the special economic zone has been changed over to the free custom zone treatment.

The second stage of SEZ occupies the area of 1000 hectares where the managing company is implementing construction of engineering infrastructure.

The free custom zone procedure enables companies to use foreign goods on the territory of SEZ without paying customs charges and taxes. Thus, residents of the first construction stage have saved more than 2,2 bln roubles. About 30 companies will be able to use the procedure after obtaining the resident status at the second stage of SEZ.
President of Tatarstan also inspected the construction of plant OOO Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry.

Having viewed the territory of SEZ, Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on issues of development of special economic zone Alabuga in the administrative building. Director General of OAO SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev informed that 13 bln roubles had been invested in development of the zone. The investment fund for 2012 makes 4,37 bln roubles.
