Rustam Minnikhanov: Universiade in Kazan to be held up to the mark

After holding summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan management of FISU and the republic of Tatarstan should find other areas for cooperation, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said at a session of the FISU Executive committee today’s morning.
To the point, the session of the FISU Executive committee is held in Kazan (GTRK Korston) with participation of Tatarstan leadership, first FISU vice-president, President of the Russian student sports union Oleg Matytsyn, FISU Secretary general Eric Saintrond, directors of summer and winter Universiades, members of the FISU Executive committee, chiefs of national and international organizations, unions and sports federations.
Receiving such an important delegation is a great privilege for Kazan, Rustam Minnikhanov said. He reminded that the event is held in the Tatarstan capital for the first time adding that he is sure members of the executive committee will successfully work at the session.
Concerning the preparation for Universiade 2013 Rustam Minnikhanov assured attendees of the session that all works are implemented in accordance with the approved plans and schedule involving federal and republican agencies. Most serious issues are discussed at sessions of the organizing committee on preparation for Universiade 2013 with participation of the chairman Igor Shuvalov.
RT President noted that solving of a problem with visa-free entry to Russia for sportsmen and teams participating in Universiade 2013 is an important event in the context of preparation for Universiade. The decree about visa-free entry was signed by the RF President on March, 30, 2011.
Head of republic told about modernization of the transport system and road network in Kazan, modernization of the Kazan international airport, organization of high-speed passenger service between the city center and the Kazan airport (the project of Intermodal transport) within the limits of preparatory measures.
Moreover, the President focused on construction of new and reconstruction of available sports objects to be used during Universiade - 2013.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
