Rustam Minnikhanov: For many it is a tradition to meet in Kazan within the framework of KAZANSUMMIT

Participation in International summit KAZANSUMMIT is useful as for starting up companies so for those who enjoy experience of investing. This has been stated today by RT President R. Minnikhanov during official opening of  IV International summit «Economic cooperation of Russia and OIC countries» – «KAZANSUMMIT 2012».

The event is being held at KRK Pyramida (Kazan ), 1000 guests became the participants of the summit, representatives of  over 30 OIC countries and 13 regions of RF, representatives of private business and potential investors are present. The summit traditionally opened by a solemn reading of Koran, held by Suleiman hazryat , and welcome words from chairman of org-committee KAZANSUMMIT – chief of Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov.

Saluting summit participants on a hospitable land of Tatarstan, President of Tatarstan mentioned that for many it has become a tradition to meet in Kazan in context of KAZANSUMMIT. He informed that within framework of the summit it had been presented over 100 investment projects with total cost over 100 bln USD.

Besides, President of Tatarstan marked that a name of the event changed, its objectives and tasks enlarged: from scientific conference on Islam finance to a large scale international economic summit which promotes strengthening international relations of Russia, steadily stimulates attraction of investments to its regions.
Today, the influence of Islamic world is growing, successfully competing with western financial system, R. Minnikhanov stated. He mentioned that three quarters of world oil reserves is located on territory of Muslim countries, number of Muslims in the world reaches 1,5 bln. Each sixth resident of the planet is Muslim.

Using the opportunity head of Tatarstan invited all wishing to mark holyday - day of accepting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria which took place 1090 years ago (May 21, year 922).

President of Tatarstan stated in 2012 Ak Bars bank has organized placement of means of Islamic corporation on development of private sector in amount of 60 mln. USD.

In conclusion, Rustam Minnikhanov wished the summit participants a successful work and passed the words of greeting from the Republic of Bashkortostan where from he just returned, where he took part in opening International forum Big chemistry in Ufa city.
