Vitaly Mutko holds meeting of Supervision council of Universiade Executive office in Kazan

Organizational issues of transport and referee’s support, accommodation of guests, information policy, marketing and ticket programs of the World summer Universiade 2013 have been discussed at a session of Supervision council of ANO «Executive office of XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan». The session was held by the RF Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko at the RT Government House.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee Marat Bariev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, chiefs of ministries and agencies attended the session.

Vitaly Mutko said that he is satisfied with the course of preparation for Universiade. He is sure that transport infrastructure and sport objects will be ready in time. Vitaly Mutko suggested considering various organizational issues of holding student Games at today’s meeting.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov informed that the work on preparing for Universiade is implemented according to the schedule and assignments given during the sessions of the organizing committee, Supervision council of the Executive office and other meetings.

Vitaly Mutko stressed that the status of Universiade as a complex sport event is becoming more and more important. It imposes certain commitments on the hosting party.

Chief of Universiade Executive office Vladimir Leonov made report on preparation for the World summer Universiade 2013.

Deputy Director general of Universiade Executive office Azat Kadyrov informed that according to forecasts based on results of Shenzhen student Games-2011, about 9300 sportsmen from 170-175 countries, 4000 members of official delegations, 2,5 thousand referees will take part in the Kazan Universiade.

Vitaly Mutko focused on the need for providing comfortable and trouble-free entry of sportsmen with sports gear to Russia.
