A plenary session of “Tatarstan” media club, set up at Plenipotentiary representation of RT in Moscow, was held in Kazan (Safar hotel) today.. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the session.

In particular, he informed that today the festivities were held in Bolgar town dedicated to a regular anniversary of adopting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. The people who do not know their roots have no perspectives, Rustam Minnikhanov said and invited all to visit the Bolgar town.
He stressed, while speaking, that multinational people of Tatarstan live in peace and accord.
Chairman of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev was on a working visit in Kazan yesterday, on June 9. He held a meeting at the Gorbunov KAPO on strategic progress of aviation and said about creating a new plant on assembling the transport aircraft An-70.
Besides, a ceremony of laying the stone in foundation of innovative fellow town Innopolis–Kazan with participation of Dmitry Medvedev took place yesterday.
In the coming years, we would realize this project, in many angles this is not the issue of money, the main thing is to take up a political decision, Rustam Minnikhanov stated. The project is needed at federal level, its payback is very high.

Then, head of the republic shortly told about the projects being implemented in Tatarstan industry, - this is further evolution of special economic zone Alabuga where 30 companies residents have been registered already, the plans on developing JSC KAMAZ, construction of plant on production of ammonia, methanol, granulated carbamide and ammonia nitrate (JSC Ammoni) and many others.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, today the republic is oriented on serious development of chemistry and petro-chemistry.
We have learnt to recover bitumen oil, he said, and this means the use of the most updated technologies. Besides, the prospected reserves of hydro-carbon stock in Tatarstan – for more than 30 years under present volume of oil production is available, he said, and the reserve of bitumen oil makes up over 7 bln. tones.
Head of the republic stressed that today our task is to provide oil-chemical branch with raw material.
Regarding accession of Russia in the WTO, by words of President of Tatarstan, «the process is quite painful». Today we should not discuss how it would be bad, Rustam Minnikhanov said, over 150 countries are operating in the WTO, and nobody complains, so why Russia will not be able to work in the WTO? «We cannot live separately and must be integrated in the world economy», - he stated.

On 16 January, speaking at an expanded meeting of the collegium of Tatarstan State Committee for Tariffs dedicated to results of 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that tariff regulation is a strategic tool of state policy defining quality of life of all Tatarstan residents.
He stated that the issues of tariffs setting is the point where interests of population, business and the state overlap. The State Committee is facing a difficult task of finding an optimal balance when tariffs will be socially just for the population and at the same time create necessary conditions for the sustainable development of enterprises in the communal, power and transport spheres.

On 13 January, speaking about New Year events at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva informed that more than 8 thousand topical events were held during New Year holidays in the republic.
“These included mass celebrations, theatrical performances, concerts, sporting competitions, and much more. Outdoor events were particularly popular, “she said and informed about numerous events held within the Kurshe (Neighbor) festival and the regional Christmas Tree celebrations organized with participation of the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
