Ildar Khalikov takes part in Sabantui celebrations in Zelenodolsk

RT Premier Ildar Khalikov took part in Sabantui celebrations in Zelenodolsk today. Honorary guests of the holiday were also vice RF Minister of finance Aleksei Lavrov, deputy RT State Council Chairman Alexandr Gusev, head of Zelenodolsk region Sergei Batin and others.

The guests were welcomed near the main gates of Sabantui by girls- participants of choreographic ensemble "Amazonka” in national costumes with chak-chak and bread-salt. Then, they were saluted with music folk items by folk ensembles from Cheboksary, Yoshkar –Ola and Kazan.

A special program was prepared by the organizers of Tatar backyard "Tamasha". Here, Ildar Khalikov stamped a souvenir coin with wishes of happiness and luck, and picture of Tatarstan emblem. Smith craft mastership, valenki felting, oil whipping, and grain thrashing were presented to honorary guests. Then, Alexei Lavrov plowed land plot as it was done in old times.

On the national platform where the representatives of various peoples presented their concert items and dishes, the guests released the doves of peace to the sky, and tasted national cuisine.

Traditional “Town of masters” occupied a special place on the festive platform which decoration became exhibition of painting and photos - the works of young painters and teachers of art schools.

The main celebration began by theatrical prologue, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Zelenodolsk which was held in the form of musical with participation of 600 representatives of creative collectives.

Head of Zelenodolsk region Sergei Batin welcomed the public. He congratulated all on the national holiday Sabantui, having mentioned that this ancient, but always young holiday accrues multi-century contribution, originality and spirit of Tatar people. He stressed that Sabantui is celebrated not only in Tatarstan, but all across Russia and far abroad "where people carefully save traditions of their nation". S. Batin declared the Sabantui open, and batyrs hoisted a festive flag.

On behalf of RT President and RT State Council Chairman, the members of RT Government, Ildar Khalikov personally congratulated the present on holiday. "From ancient times, the Sabantui has been a favorite festivity of not only Tatars, but of many peoples living in the republic ", - he said and thanked the workers of village and regional enterprises for their labor deeds.

RT PM marked that major complexes like Interregional logistics center are under construction in Zelenodolsk region, construction of technopolis "Novaya Tura "has started, the project of reviving island town Sviyazhsk is being realized.

Further, I. Khalikov read out the greeting from the President of Tatarstan and handed state awards and letters of gratitude to residents of Zelenodolsk.
