Supervision council of SEZ Alabuga approves two new projects of residents

Projects of plants on producing exhaust gas post-processing systems for cars and electric tools on the territory of special economic zone Alabuga have been approved by the Supervision council of SEZ. The session was held by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Two projects planned to be realized at SEZ were presented for consideration to members of the Supervision council. The project OOO “NTC MSP” implies organization of production of exhaust gas post-processing systems for cars. According to the company’s officials, they intend to supply their produce to the Tatarstan plants KAMAZ and SP Ford-Sollers. The planned volume of output is 360 thousand neutralizers per year.

Attendees of the session approved submission of this project for consideration by the Expert council under the RF Ministry of economic development for obtaining the status of SEZ resident. Session of the Expert council is planned for July, 13.

The second project implies creation of the enterprise on producing a universal electric tool ZAO “Interskol”. The company’s officials informed that already have plants in Russia, China and Spain.

SEZ Alabuga is being considered as the site for expansion of production. Volume of investments in new plant will make 1 bln roubles, volume of output – 1,25 mln of items per year, 2,5 bln roubles - in terms of money. 20 % of produce is meant to be exported. The staff will comprise 400 employees.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted high level of production localization (90%) and the company’s plans on creating the development center and import-substituting production at SEZ Alabuga.

Members of the Supervision council supported submission of this project for consideration by the Expert council.

In addition, the request of Turkish resident companies on rendering additional areas for construction of plants was considered at today’s session. The request was also supported by the Supervision council.
