President of Tatarstan meets with Chief of China Investment Corporation

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Chairman of the Board and Director General of the China Investment Corporation Lou Jiwei. Vice-premier – Chief of the RT Cabinet Staff Shamil Gafarov attended the meeting at the Kazan Kremlin.
Chairman of the Board and Director General of the China Investment Corporation Lou Jiwei is in Tatarstan on a two-day working trip with members of the Chinese delegation.
Lou Jiwei visited JSC KAMAZ yesterday. Main assembly line and cab assembly line were demonstrated to the guests. At the research and development center members of the delegation acquainted with new developments of the enterprise.
Lou Jiwei also visited TANECO plant in Nizhnekamsk and JSC “Kazan helicopters” in Kazan.
Results of the working trip were summarized at the meeting of Lou Jiwei with the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin where they discussed cooperation opportunities of Tatarstan and the China Investment Corporation, in particular, participation of the corporation in realization of investment projects in Tatarstan.

On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
