German Gref: One of the best sport infrastructures in Russia was created in Kazan

Official opening of X All-Russia Sberbankiada was held at the stadium of Tulpar sports complex in Kazan.
President and Board Chairman of JSC Sberbank of Russia German Gref and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the event.
24 teams 17 of which represent territorial branches of Sberbank and subsidiary banks from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, the team of central office of the financial organization, “Volksbank International”, indoor soccer teams “Troika dialog” and “Sberbank leasing” take part in competitions this year.
By and large, two thousand people participate in Sberbankiada-2012. Competitions will last till July 21and held at modern sport venues constructed for Universiade 2013.
Sportsmen will compete in the following kinds of sport: swimming, badminton, tennis, table tennis, Russian lapta, basketball, volleyball, chess, track and field athletics, indoor soccer and billiards.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
