Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting with officials of Eastern Beverage Company and “Russian vodka holding”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a working meeting with owner of the investment company Eastern Beverage Company S.A. Neil Smith and Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in Ukraine Andrei Okhlopkov.
The event took place at the House of RT Government with participation of “Crimean vodka company” Director General Jonathan Weil; Deputy RT Prime Minister – Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov; RT Minister of finance Radik Gaizatullin; Chief of RT State inspection on state control over production, turnover and quality of ethyl alcohol, alcohol produce and protection of consumer rights Igor Marchenko; JSC “Holding company “Ak Bars” Director General Ivan Egorov; JSC “Tatspirtprom” Director General Giorgy Kupriyanov.
Issues of cooperation in the sphere of alcohol production on the basis of JSC “Tatspirtprom” enterprises (the Kazan alcoholic beverage plant) in the context of licence contract on “Russian vodka holding” brands were discussed at the meeting.
Director General of “Crimean vodka company” Jonathan Weil, the owner of the investment company Eastern Beverage Company S.A. Neil Smith and JSC “Tatspirtprom” Director General Giorgy Kupriyanov signed Protocol of cooperation.
Produce by “Russian vodka holding” brands is to be manufactured at the Kazan alcoholic beverage plant. Increase of alcohol production output on the territory of republic will provide additional tax revenues in the republican budget, use of production capacities of JSC “Tatspirtprom” and solution of employment problems.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that more and more investing companies are developing their enterprises in republic.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
