Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates Ulia Zaripova and Aliya Mustafina on wins at the Olympic Games in London

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has congratulated the honoured master of sports of Russia Ulia Zaripova, President of All-Russia athletics federation Valentin Balakhnichev, President of RT athletics federation Khafiz Salikhov, chief of athletics team of the RT Ministry of the interior Ildar Zaripov on excellent and persuasive win of the sportswoman from Tatarstan at the Olympic Games in London. Ulia Zaripova won the golden medal in a 3000-meter steeplechase.
“It is known that the most difficult victory is a self-victory, and Ulia managed to do it. The talented sportswoman demonstrated her skills, purposefulness, strong sport spirit, hit her own record and won the highest title of the Olympic champion. Current champion of Russia and Europe, athlete from Tatarstan proved that she has no equal on the race track. Ulia won easily at the Olympic Games. This is the result of enormous work of her own, her coaches and managers. I sincerely thank each of you for the opportunity to be proud of our republic and our country,” the president noted in a greetings telegram.
The Tatarstan President also sent greetings to the honoured master of sports of Russia, Moscow gymnast Aliya Mustafina who won the golden medal in parallel bars competitions at the Olympic Games in London.
In his address on the occasion of the Russian Science Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated scientists, researchers and lecturers of the republic with the event and wrote: “Science has always been and remains one of the main driving forces of progress and foundation for the development of economy, social sphere and education. Due to your talent, work and dedication to your vocation Tatarstan occupies the leading positions in many scientific spheres starting from petrochemical and IT technologies to biotechnologies and materials engineering. Today, based on glorious traditions of Russian and Tatarstan scientists, you are making a substantial contribution into ensuring scientific and technological sovereignty of Russia and solve the most important tasks of import replacement, digitalization and sustainable development.
On February 3, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening XXI All-Russia competitions in fire-rescue sports for the Cup of the Tatarstan Prime Minister, held in the gym of the Chief Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan with participation of 21 teams from various regions of Russia - a total of about 430 people.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
