Today RFMinister of Energy Alexander Novak examined the oil and petroleum industry in Tatarstan. The head RF Ministry of Energy visited the Kama area along with RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
In Almetievsk region A. Novak visited Ashalchinsk field and other facilities of JSC "Tatneft". In Nizhnekamsk in JSC "TAIF-NK" Alexander Novak get acquainted with the latest diesel fuel of Euro-5 standard and the draft of a new complex for the processing of heavy residues. Each year, 2.6 million tonnes of heavy residues will produce nearly 2 million tons of diesel fuel of Euro-5 standard.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Alexander Novak also visited the factory of steel tires JSC "Nizhnekamskshina", JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", JSC "TANECO."
At the end of a visit Nizhnekamsk, Alexander Novak participated in a meeting regarding to the future of "TANECO." First Deputy General Director of JSC "Tatneft" - Chairman of the Board of Directors "TANECO" Nail Maganov reported that by now, "TANECO" is put into commercial operation, has already introduced ELOU-AVT mount, visbreaking, naphtha stabilization.
Nail Maganov said that in the future they plan to increase oil processing of "TANECO" up to 14 million tons a year with the help of new technology of hydroconversion of heavy residues. This technology was developed in Russia and in theory will help to get rid of the oil out completely, but previously it is required to build a pilot plant to test new technology.
Minnikhanov addressed Alexander Novak a request to finance the construction of a pilot plant. In turn, the Minister of Energy proposed to collect a pool of Russian oil companies and organize a public-private partnership. RT President, said that "Tatneft" is ready to participate in such a pool.
During the meeting R.Minnikhanov addressed A. Novak a request to assist in the development of the infrastructure of the Kama industrial hub. According to the RT President, the volume of industrial production in the region is expected to grow from the current 600 billion rubles to 2 trillion, but it is not possible without improving the energy and transport infrastructure.
RF Minister of Energy promised to consider the proposals in the area of taxation, infrastructure development, creation of a pilot plant.
In turn, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Alexander Novak for his interest in Tatarstan, and wished success in his work as a Minister of Energy.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
