Rustam Minnikhanov met with Secretary General of FISU

Today RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Secretary General of the International University Sports Federation FISU Eric Sayntrond in Kazan. The meeting was also attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic Irek Faizullin, head of the Directorate of the Universiade-2013 Vladimir Leonov, the first Vice-President of FISU - President of the Russian Student Sports Union Oleg Matytsin, Director of the Summer Universiade of FISU Mark Vandenplas.
FISU delegation visits Kazan within the preparation for the next meeting of the Executive Committee of FISU, the extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly of FISU and the ceremony of awarding the best athletes of FISU Gala. At today's meeting Minnikhanov and Eric Sayntrond discussed the preparation for this events.
FISU delegation's visit will last for four days, during which the members of the delegation will meet with the functional areas of ANO "Executive Board" Kazan 2013 ", responsible for organizing and conducting the above mentioned activities.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
