President of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the new building of the Kazan school "Mishpahteynu"

Today, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan secondary school № 12 "Mishpahteynu", also known in Kazan as "Jewish" school. The educational institution has received a new additional building, which is more comfortable for students and teachers.

School № 12, located in the heart of Kazan, in Marjani street, near the Lake Kaban, is a s special school. In addition to the compulsory subjects of state educational standards , here pupils teach subjects of the so-called Jewish cycle: Hebrew, history, literature, geography, and traditions of the state of Israel. A great contribution to the development and activities of the school, which is called "Mishpahteynu" (in Hebrew - my family), makes the Jewish community of Kazan. At the same time, it is an international institution, and teaches children of different nationalities.

During a visit to the school № 12 Rustan Minnikhanov was accompanied by RT Minister of Education and Science Albert Gilmutdinov, RT Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Chief of the Federal Jewish National and Cultural Autonomy Michael Skoblionok.

According to the principal, today the school has 569 students. "The school is very popular and is very crowded. There was a need of extension of space. Today, in the new building we have a dance hall, a gym, rooms for additional classes "- explained the need for the construction of a new building O.Trupp. She said the cost of the project amounted to125 million rubles.

Pupils welcomed guests, headed by the President of Tatarstan, in Hebrew. Teachers showed Rustam Minnikhanov a training process - the lesson was conducted online with teachers from Israel. Leaving class, RT President signed a piece of paper, which is then put into a special "memory box" that stores autographs of honored guests of the school.
