President of Tatarstan meets with Chairman of Volga-Vyatka bank of Sberbank of Russia

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Chairman of Volga-Vyatka bank of Sberbank of Russia Sergei Maltsev.
Sergei Maltsev was appointed to this post on August 2, 2012. Volga-Vyatka bank services seven subjects of Russian Federation: Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Kirov regions, republics of Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Mordovia and Mari El.
The meeting was held at the RT Government House with participation of the Tatarstan Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Minister of transport and road construction Lenar Safin, and Aide to the Tatarstan President on economic issues Airat Khairullin. Sberbank was presented by Deputy Chairman of Volga-Vyatka bank – chief of branch “Bank Tatarstan” and “Sberbank of Russia” Rushan Sakhbiev.
The parties discussed further cooperation between Tatarstan and Sberbank of Russia. To the point, the Agreement on cooperation between Sberbank of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan was signed on July, 16, 2012. Board Chairman of Sberbank of Russia German Gref and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov put their signatures on the document. The agreement specifies areas of cooperation in financial-loan sphere. The document stipulates realization of 16 big investment projects.
The project aimed at financing leasing transaction for purchasing buses for 27th World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan and Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 was also discussed at the meeting. By and large, it is planned to purchase 344 buses.
Later on, Sergei Maltsev took part in opening of additional Sberbank office, the first in Russia which meets all standards of servicing handicapped people.

The program “Available environment” aimed at creation of comfortable environment for disabled and handicapped people has been realized in Tatarstan since 2011. Sberbank realizes the project that enhances comfort for handicapped people at its own expense.
40 offices are to be opened by Sberbank in Tatarstan by the end of this year.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
