Mintimer Shaimiev and Aleksandr Berdnikov meet with representatives of artistic intelligentsia and mass media of the Republic of Altai

On September, 5, 2012 the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and Head of the Republic of Altai Aleksandr Berdnikov met with representatives of artistic intelligentsia and mass media and answered journalists’ questions.
Mintimer Shaimiev shared his good mood with journalists saying that he was impressed by his trip in the Republic of Altai.
Journalists asked different questions, in particular, about the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient city of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk”, and a universal question about happiness.
Olga Yaitynova, a correspondent of State TV and Radio Company “Gorny Altai” asked Mintimer Shaimiev what he thinks about such a specific region as the Republic of Altai. Tatarstan’s ex-president answered: “you should develop tourism.” Mintimer Shaimiev believes that in the nearest time not only landscapes will attract tourists, but natural products as well. “You need to work on expanding the agricultural market on-site,” the State Counselor stressed.
The speech of a famous poetess and artist Lilia Yusupova, a graduate of the Kazan medical university was unexpected pleasure for Mintimer Shaimiev. Lilia Yusupova is a member of the Union of Russian writers, laureate of the medal of Petrov academy of sciences, laureate of Shukshin prize, author of 15 books of poems, Paris, New York, Moscow and Kazan halls are decorated with her pictures.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
