President of Tatarstan meets with Prime Minister of Ukraine

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov during his working visit to Ukraine. Other members of the Tatarstan delegation – Vice-premier – Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to the Tatarstan President on international issues Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of OAO “KAPO named after Gorbunov” Vasil Kayumov also participated in the meeting.

Opening the event, head of the Ukrainian Government Nikolai Azarov informed that due to meetings with republican businessmen and authorities he knows about Tatarstan economy that is dynamically developing. He noted that owing to Agreement about free trade zone signed in 2011, the commodity turnover between Russia and Ukraine has increased by 40 percent.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed about his visit to SE “Antonov”. “We have discussed realization of the assignment of the Russian and Ukrainian presidents. Our enterprise “KAPO named after Gorbunov” is about to deploy production of An-70 on its territory. We have discussed the whole procedure today, including transfer of documentation, our integration relations. For sure, we hope for getting support in realization of this project,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Head of republic noted also that during the visit to Ukraine he is going to visit Zaporozhye engine plant “Motor Sich” that will supply engines for An-70.

“Currently, KAMAZ successfully offers its produce in Ukraine, and our petrochemical products are also in-demand. We are going to increase deliveries. At the same time, we receive much food and engineering produce from your country,” the Tatarstan President emphasized.
