Ildar Khalikov takes part in ceremony of awarding winners of contests “ECOleader” and “Man and nature”

The ceremony of awarding winners of the republican contests “ECOleader” and “Man and nature” was held in the Tatarstan capital today. Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Rimma Ratnikova, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Minister of ecology and nature resources Artem Sidorov, Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Rafis Burganov took part in the meeting.
Artem Sidorov opened the event. He noted that the Republican contest commission faced uneasy choice because there were a lot of good projects. The Minister of ecology and nature resources wished all participants of the ceremony success in ensuring ecological safety of republic.
Ildar Khalikov welcomed participants of the ceremony.
“Ecology is the environment we live in. It is the basis of human life and activity, health and perception of the world. What is more important, it is the future of our land, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have a big history with many different periods. We know how easily ecology is destroyed and how difficult is to restore it. Today I would like to thank everyone who deals with these issues every day. Tatarstan’s largest enterprises spend billions of roubles on such measures. The companies which have become leaders this year do this work not because of legal obligations, it is the civic stand of their chiefs, moral responsibility before present-day life, present and future Tatarstan,” the PM said.
Ildar Khalikov handed award to the winner of the contest among enterprises of All-Russia significance OAO Tatneft for efficient ecological program. Other winners were OAO “Production association “plant named after Sergo” (Zelenodolsk), the greenhouse center “Maisky” and others.
Awards were given to the leading republican enterprises and organisations, educational, social, health care institutions, public organisations and associations which make great contribution to environmental protection, ensuring environmental safety and rational use of natural resources in republic. Active participants of the project “People’s control”, best journalists who extensively cover work on solving urgent ecological problems and contribute to ecological education of population were also noted at the ceremony.
To the point, contests “ECOleader” and “Man and nature” were established in 2004 in accordance with the RT Government decision.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
