Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Tatars of Novosibirsk region

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with activists of the Tatar community of the Novosibirsk region during his working trip. The meeting was held at the Legislative Assembly with participation of Aide to the Tatarstan President on international issues Radik Gimatdinov, Chairman of Executive committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov.
More than 24 thousand Tatars currently live in the Novosibirsk region. Two big Tatar organisations - the public regional Tatar national and cultural autonomy of the Novosibirsk region and Novosibirsk regional Tatar cultural center are functioning in the region. Representatives of these organisations took part in today’s meeting with the president.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked participants of the meeting. He noted that Russia is a multi-ethnic country and nations should keep their identity, language and culture. According to the Tatarstan President, the World Congress of Tatars aims to connect Tatar people. Moreover, TV channel “TNV-planet” and on-line program for studying the Tatar language will be launched soon.
The RT President thanked leadership of the Novosibirsk region for attention paid to Tatars.
Participants of the meeting told about life of Tatars in the region and addressed with requests and proposals to head of republic. The Tatarstan President noted that interaction of republic with the region should be developing in different spheres - cultural, scientific and economic.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
