Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova appreciates the organization of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019

On August 27, at the Government House of the republic, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova had a meeting with Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Council Wang Yongqing, who arrived in Kazan to take part in the closing ceremony of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019.

During the ceremony, the WorldSkills flag will be handed over to China, where preparations for the WorldSkills Shanghai-2021 are underway.

Golikova emphasized that strengthening strategic partnership with China is a priority for Russian politics.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister also appreciated the preparation and organization of the WorldSkills Competition in Kazan, and expressed readiness to share the gained experience with Chinese colleagues.

In his turn, Wang Yongqing noted that relations between Russian and China has developed dynamically recently . “China is Russia's largest trading partner. Last year, Russian-Chinese trade turnover amounted to more than 100 billion US dollar, which is a record figure,” he stressed.

The meeting discussed various areas of cooperation, including education. In particular, Golikova proposed setting up a joint international academy to train mentors before the WorldSkills Shanghai-2021.
