Jean-Claude Juncker visits Kazan federal university

Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker has visited the Kazan (Volga) federal university. He was accompanied by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
To the point, the Tatarstan-Luxembourg Business Forum is being held in Kazan. Jean-Claude Juncker arrived within his working visit to Russia.
Honorable guests were met by Acting Minister of education and science Danil Mustafin, rector of KFU Ilshat Gafurov and students. Museum of history of the Kazan University was the first object they visited.
The museum fund contains several thousands of items. A unique document, clothing, book and photographic fund is kept here. Among museum pieces are documents and pictures of scientists and graduates of the university of the 19th and 20th centuries. The book fund contains personal collections of scientists, including their scientific works, literature about their life and creative work, books with presentation inscriptions, autographs, author’s and editor’s alterations.
Later on, Jean-Claude Juncker visited assembly hall and left a note in a book of honorable guests.
Finally, bas-relief with depicted Kazan University was presented to the guest.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
