Ildar Khalikov: “Creation of proper and high-quality conditions for veterans is a priority task for our republic”

“Tatarstan leadership has always focused on the experience of the older generation and taken into account wise advices of veterans,” Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said at a jubilee conference dated to the 25th anniversary of the Public organisation of veterans (pensioners) of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Tatarstan PM welcomed veterans on behalf of the republican leadership. “I am glad to express appreciation to our veterans again for educating young generation, active participation in life of republic, and selfless labour for the good of Tatarstan. Everyone who is present here today takes an active part in the process we call “building new Tatarstan,” Ildar Khalikov said.
Head of the republican government noted that current generation relies on traditions laid by veterans making us head for improvement of life quality in the Republic of Tatarstan.
“Creation of proper and high-quality conditions for veterans is a priority task for us,” Ildar Khalikov emphasized and defined main areas of activity.
Thus, much attention is paid to health care development. 5,6 bln roubles were allocated for construction and capital repair of health care objects in 2011; new major objects were put into operation, namely, vascular centers in Elabuga and Bugulma, Nuclear Center. Major republican clinics, the Republican clinical hospital and Children’s Republican clinical hospital, and admission departments of the Central district hospital are being reconstructed, new health centers are being established.
According to results 2011, Tatarstan provided best figures in realization of programs aimed at health care modernization.
Work on holding overall medical examinations for the disabled and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, citizens living in remote settlements, elderly and handicapped citizens is aimed at developing mobile physician teams.
The PM reminded that major efforts are taken on providing veterans of the Great Patriotic War and their families with comfortable housing. For now, more than 15 thousand veterans are provided with comfortable and high-quality housing, 17 bln roubles of federal funds have been allocated for this program.
For many years compulsory social support measures have been transport benefits, benefits for housing and communal and communication services, rendering state services in social sphere.
Ildar Khalikov noted that veterans implement serious work in this area.
Special attention is paid to employment and additional education of elderly people. With this view, special job fairs are held in republic and database of available workplaces for pensioners was created and is constantly updated.
The university of the third age has been functioning in republic for five years, the project “Internet-longevity” for teaching elderly people the basics of computer literacy has been realized in republic since January 1, 2012.
Besides, the program “Available environment” has been realized in republic for two years. 101 objects in 17 municipalities have been adapted for handicapped people.
Major work is conducted on supporting public organisations engaged in realization of social projects.
The Tatarstan PM presented several awards to activists of veteran’s public organisations. Head of the RT Government is sure that with the help of veterans Tatarstan leadership will be able to prepare and hold celebrations of 70th anniversary of the Great Victory properly.
“Dear veterans, thank you for support and understanding. I congratulate you on the 25th anniversary of the public organisation and wish you and your families happiness, health, good luck and peaceful sky overhead,” Ildar Khalikov said finishing his speech.
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
