Ildar Khalikov: “Tatarstan sanitary and epidemiological service has undergone all trials and is working efficiently”

A solemn event dated to the 90th anniversary of the Russian sanitary and epidemiological service was held in Korston hotel & mall. Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov congratulated employees of the institution on behalf of the republican leadership.
He reminded that 90 years ago, the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of RSFSR “On sanitary agencies of republic” was signed on September 15, 1922. A lot of changes have occurred since then, the service has passed the way from epidemiological bureau, sanitary and epidemiological station and the center of state epidemiological supervision to the federal body of the executive power.
“We have experienced difficult times. However, employees of the service have always tackled their main mission consisting in health care maintenance in a persistent and logical way. The Tatarstan sanitary and epidemiological service has undergone all trials during the period of formation and development and efficiently deals with issues of sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing of population,” Ildar Khalikov stressed.
The PM said that efficiency of the service activity is proved by the fact that such parameters as the number of infectious diseases, quality of water and air are much different from other Russian regions.
Ildar Khalikov thanked employees of the institutions for protecting citizens’ health and wished them health and success. He also handed several government and state awards.
The address of the Russian chief sanitary inspector Gennady Onishenko was read out during the festive event.
Chief of the Tatarstan Department of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare Marina Patyashina said that the sanitary and epidemiological service had proved its value.
“It is difficult to imagine any side of our life without the sanitary and epidemiological service. We are proud of the fact that such outstanding health professionals were at the origins of the service.
Currently the service includes five institutions of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare with 2,5 thousand employees,” Marina Patyashina said.
She expressed special gratitude to veterans of the service.
On 13 January, speaking about New Year events at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva informed that more than 8 thousand topical events were held during New Year holidays in the republic.
“These included mass celebrations, theatrical performances, concerts, sporting competitions, and much more. Outdoor events were particularly popular, “she said and informed about numerous events held within the Kurshe (Neighbor) festival and the regional Christmas Tree celebrations organized with participation of the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
On 13 January Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev, the Acting Mayor of the Town of Innopolis Ildar Khuzzyatov and heads of medical and construction organizations of the republic took part in a solemn ceremony of opening a children’s polyclinic in Innopolis. The new facility more than twice expanded the medical service of the town and also houses the 24 our emergency ambulances unit with a separate entrance for its staff.
On January 12, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin introduced a new Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin to its staff.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
