IV International Bolgar forum to be held in the Republic of Bulgaria

Tomorrow, Tatarstan’s State Counselor, Chairman of Board of trustees of historical and cultural monuments revival Mintimer Shaimiev will depart to Bulgaria to participate in IV International Bolgar forum “Origins, historical development and cultural heritage of Bolgar civilization”. Mintimer Shaimiev is also the Chairman of the forum’s Organisation committee.
The event is held on October 22-25, 2012 in Varna under the auspices of the Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, ministries of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and Bulgaria, and the Union of Bulgarian scientists. It is organised by the Republican foundation for historical and cultural monuments revival, Academies of sciences of Tatarstan and Bulgaria.
Aide to the Tatarstan President on social issues, CEO of the Republican foundation for historical and cultural monuments revival Tatyana Larionova, Tatarstan’s Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, President of the RT Academy of sciences Akhmet Mazgarov, Director of the Institute of history named after Sh.Mardzhani Rafael Khakimov, Director of the Institute of history of the Kazan federal university Ramil Khairutdinov, and outstanding scientists, historians and archeologists from Tatarstan will participate in the forum.
The International Bolgar forum initiated by the Republic of Tatarstan is held every year to unite specialists studying history, culture and history of Bolgar civilization. For the last two years forum has become a regular event for scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova and Kazakhstan willing to share their knowledge. The first and the second forums were held in Tatarstan in 2010 and 2011, the third forum – in Altai region this September.
The topic of IV International Bolgar forum is “Origins, historical development and cultural heritage of Bolgar civilization”. One of priority tasks is to study processes happening on the territory stretching from the Great Chinese Wall to Danube, where ancestors of Turkic and Slavonic peoples formed a unique Eurasian civilization.
More than 50 scientists from Europe, Russia, and CIS will present their scientific researches.
Three discussions on historical, archeological and spiritual aspects of Bolgar civilization, round table on coordinating work of archeologists in Bulgaria and Russia, several official meetings are to be held within the framework of IV International Bolgar forum.
Tatarstan and Bulgarian politicians and public figures will deliver speeches on October 22, 2012, the opening day of the International house of scientists (Varna). Moreover, atlas “Bulgarica. Time and space of Bolgar civilization” prepared and published by the Institute of history of the Tatarstan Academy of sciences will be presented.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
