The Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov has met with FINA President Julio Cesar Maglione and CEO Cornel Marculescu. Tatarstan’s Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Rafis Burganov and Chief of Universiade Executive Office Vladimir Leonov were present at the meeting.
Julio Cesar Maglione and Cornel Marculescu visited Kazan in the run-up to the World FINA aquatics convention (Moscow, October 29 – November 1). FINA President and CEO arrived in the capital of Tatarstan to estimate readiness of the city for the World Aquatics Championship 2015. They have already looked around the thousand-year city, visited sports venues, hotels, and estimated transport infrastructure.
At the meeting at the Tatarstan Government House Ildar Khalikov welcomed guests saying he was sure that their visit would be useful and informative.
The PM also informed that preparation for Universiade 2013 was coming to an end. All sport and transport objects will be finished the year before the World Aquatics Championship. It will surely enable holding competitions at high level.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
