Tatarstan’s major economic projects presented to Kazakhstan business delegation

Presentation of Tatarstan’s major economic projects was held in Kazan within the framework of a working visit of the Kazakhstan business delegation led by Chairman of Presidium of the Kazakhstan National economic chamber “Atameken Union” Timur Kulibaev. Guests were accompanied by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Vice-premier and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov told members of the delegation about High Technology Technopark IT-park and Innopolis project. The Minister informed that 71 resident companies and 1700 employees worked in IT-park for that moment. Residents’ proceeds make 100 mln dollars.
Besides, the second IT-park in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny started working. The higher school of information technology at the Kazan federal university was opened under the auspices of foreign leading companies.
Chairman of Presidium of the Kazakhstan National economic chamber Timur Kulibaev was interested in architectural planning of the Innopolis. Rustam Minnikhanov told that a recognised Singapore company RSP Architect was involved in development of the master plan. According to the Tatarstan President, it is expected that 150 thousand people will live of the territory of the new city.
Director General of the Special Economic Zone Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev told about activity of the economic zone. He said that the amount of state investments into the SEZ makes 500 mln dollars, while residents invested a billion. The claimed amount of investments of 31 current residents is 3 billion dollars. A joint enterprise “Ford-Sollers” is the main resident of SEZ.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that many foreign companies which deal with supplying automotive components are willing to cooperate with the Special Economic Zone Alabuga.
Board Chairman of “Ammonia” company Rinat Khanbikov told about construction of Ammonia plant in Mendeleevsk. Kazakhstan businessmen were interested in Tatarstan’s experience of attracting foreign companies and technologies, and funding of the project.
While visiting Business incubator at IT-park guests were told about advanced startups, the electronic document management system, and rendering of state services in electronic format. Members of the Kazakhstan delegation also visited the “GLONASS+112” control center and Universiade Village
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
