Rustam Minnikhanov arrives in Great Britain with working visit

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with a working visit (November 7-9, 2012).
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Great Britain Aleksandr Yakovenko met Rustam Minnikhanov at the «Luton» airport.
Rustam Minnikhanov is accompanied by Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Airat Nurutdinov, Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Board Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev, Board Chairman of OAO “Ak bars Bank” Robert Minnegaliev, Director General of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev.
On November 8 the Tatarstan President will meet with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Great Britain Aleksandr Yakovenko, compatriots and students living in the UK, visit the House of Lords, “smart” exhibition center SiemensTHECRYSTAL, and participate in business forum «Investment Opportunities in Tatarstan».
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
