Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is open for investments and provides overall assistance for companies and investors

“Tatarstan is open for investments and will provide overall assistance for companies and investors willing to realise their projects in republic,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at business forum Investment Opportunities in Tatarstan in London.
To the point, Rustam Minnikhanov is staying in Great Britain with a working visit (November 7-9).
Business forum Investment Opportunities in Tatarstan was organised by CNBC and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency for the purpose of increasing investment attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan in the world and presenting region’s investment potential to the international business community.
Speaking to participants of the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked people involved in organisation of the presentation, CNBC company, and British business representatives who expressed interest towards Tatarstan and its investment and economic potential.
President of Tatarstan expressed special words of gratitude to Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Great Britain Aleksandr Yakovenko for assistance in organisation of the visit.
“Today Tatarstan offers all necessary conditions for doing business. We are applying major efforts to develop modern industrial facilities, parks, business outsourcing centers, creating favourable high-level conditions for entrepreneurs,” Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
The Republic of Tatarstan offers the developed network of technoparks with up-to-date infrastructure (namely, High Technology Technopark “IT-park”, technopolis “Himgrad”, Technopark “Idea”), business incubators, educational and scientific institutions.
The Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” with industrial, engineering, customs, and transport infrastructure enjoys wide popularity.
Most priority projects being realised in Tatarstan under the auspice of the Russian Government are “Smart-City Kazan” and innovative satellite city “Innopolis”. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Innopolis had obtained the status of technology development special economic zone.
“A lot of global companies are already working in Tatarstan making great contribution in realisation of major social and economic projects,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He also noted that Tatarstan would host big international events - World summer Universiade 2013, World Aquatics Championship 2015 and matches of World Football Cup 2018.
Aide to the Tatarstan President Airat Nurutdinov, Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Director General of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev, and Board Chairman of the RT Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev participated in the forum.
Memorandum of Understanding if the context of the project on establishing the international exhibition and conference center under the project Smart City Kazan was signed between OAO “Development corporation of the Republic of Tatarstan” and Dawood Al Shezavi (Strategic Marketing and Exhibitions).

On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
