Yokogawa Electric to open interregional service center in Tatarstan

Opening of the interregional service center, development of educational programs, and further participation in Tatarstan’s major projects, - these are the plans of Yokogawa Electric which have been announced today by the company’s President Shuzo Kaihori at the meeting with the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Protocol of intentions was signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and Yokogawa Electric during the meeting.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Shuzo Kaihori for the visit to Tatarstan and noted that the company realised a number of projects in republic. In particular, Yokogawa Electric provides solutions in the sphere of automation of electrical equipment for oil-refining and petrochemical enterprises and takes an active part in educational processes.
The Tatarstan President supposes that Yokogawa company may be interested in the following projects: “Ammonia”, TAIF-NK heavy residue processing complex, Nizhnekamskneftekhim ethylene production complex. He also mentioned IT industry being intensively developed in republic that may also be interesting for Yokogawa Electric.
The President of Yokogawa Electric Shuzo Kaihori told about company’s plans on developing business in Tatarstan. Thus, by the end of 2013 they are going to open the interregional service center in Nizhnekamsk that will provide all types of technical service in Volga Federal District.
According to Shuzo Kaihori, the company has obtained considerable experience in Tatarstan, created infrastructure and trained personnel.
The President of Yokogawa Electric said that the company was willing to take part in other projects in petrochemical and oil-refining industries. He suggested sharing the experience of automation of industrial objects producing viscous oil with Tatneft.
Shuzo Kaihori offered TANECO technical managers undergoing professional training at Yokogawa Electric Japanese center. Moreover, the company is planning to provide additional equipment for its laboratory at the Kazan National Research Technological University and establish one more laboratory in Naberezhnye Chelny branch.
The Tatarstan President supported the expressed proposals.
Chief executives of Tatarstan’s major petrochemical enterpises who were present at the meeting said that they would consider proposals of Yokogawa Electric in details.
Finally, the Protocol of intentions between the Republic of Tatarstan and Yokogawa Electric Corporation was signed.
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
