Rustam Minnikhanov meets with experts of Leontief Center

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with delegation of ZAO "The International Centre for Social and Economic Research "Leontief Centre".
Director General of Leontief Center Irina Karelina, Director and coordinator of scientific and research programs Leonid Limonov, Head of the Department for territorial strategic planning Boris Zhikharevich, Aide to the Tatarstan President on economic issues Airat Khairullin, Tatarstan’s Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Committee for budget, taxes and finance Murad Gadylshin were present at the meeting at the RT Government House.
Leontief Center is the international centre for social and economic Research. It was established in 1991 on the initiative of the Mayor of St. Petersburg Anatoliy Sobchak and Nobel Prize winner in economics Wassily Leontief. The centre organises and conducts researches in the context of problems of the regional economy and public finances, renders consulting services to federal, regional and municipal authorities upon working out strategic plans, projects and programs of social and economic development.
On November 1-2 the mission of expert groups “Tatarstan village” and “Transport-communication environment” was conducted in Kazan to collect information and hold interviews under the project aimed at preparation and development of the Tatarstan’s development strategy till 2030.
At today’s meeting the parties discussed primary results of work of expert groups and prospects of further cooperation in development of
strategic plans and programs of Tatarstan’s social and economic development.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
