Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is interested in presence of Czech business in republic

“Czech companies are high technology and Tatarstan is interested in presence of Czech business in republic within the framework of joint projects and establishment of production facilities,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at a meeting with Czech Minister of industry and trade Martin Cuba.
The meeting was held at the RT Government House with participation of Czech businessmen, representatives of the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tatarstan’s Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan’s Minister of transport and road construction Lenar Safin, Board Chairman of the RT Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Martin Cuba and the Russian Minister of regional development Igor Slyunyaev for holding the 8th plenary session of the Intergovernmental commission for economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic in Kazan.
The Tatarstan President positively estimated development of relationships between Tatarstan and Czech Republic, including realisation of joint projects in the sphere of agriculture, engineering, pharmaceutics, and construction.
Rustam Minnikhanov also suggested defining areas of cooperation in IT industry. He informed as well that Russia’s first Center of nanotechnologies had opened in Kazan under the auspices of OAO ROSNANO.
Czech Minister of industry and trade Martin Cuba said that the increase in the number of Tatarstan entrepreneurs was welcomed in Czech Republic.
Martin Cuba invited Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan businessmen to visit Czech Republic in order to consolidate relationships between republics, develop partnership and present Tatarstan’s economic potential to Czech businessmen.
Martin Cuba said that cooperation in the sphere of nanotechnologies was rather interesting and offered to include scientists and students engaged in nanotechnologies into the Tatarstan delegation. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the idea.
Finally, Czech businessmen told about joint projects that were and would be realised in Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Martin Cuba discussed opportunities of expanding cooperation in the sphere of tourism, hospitality and trade.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
