Rustam Minnikhanov: “Turkey and Tatarstan express mutual interest in cooperation”

“Tatarstan and Turkish companies are highly interested in mutual cooperation, and authorities of both republics are ready to render support in developing business relationships,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said during the lunch with representatives of the Turkish Committee for external affairs, Turkish-Russian business council and Turkish businessmen.
The meeting was held in Istanbul during the working visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to the Turkish Republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that Turkey and Tatarstan had many joint important projects. He mentioned that Tatarstan delegation had visited Bursa and participated in the forum for cooperation in the field of automotive industry and automotive components production.
The next forum will be held in Tatarstan, the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
“We also have technopark “Himgrad”, Kama industrial park “Master”, IT-park. Moreover, Innopolis has recently obtained the status of special economic zone. I suppose many interesting joint projects can be implemented in these spheres,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He said that Turkey was one of the main foreign partners of Tatarstan. Turkey holds the first place by the number of joint enterprises with participation of foreign capital registered in Tatarstan.
The Tatarstan President stressed that both Turkish partners and Tatarstan enterprises expressed mutual interest in cooperation, and it was supported by the Turkish and Tatarstan leadership.
Among prospective spheres of cooperation Rustam Minnikhanov highlighted IT industry, production and processing of foodstuff, light industry and nanotechnologies.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
